Robins in the Forest
This week's Forest School was wet, very wet but it didn't stop our outdoor adventures. Mrs Greggs had put up a tarp over our base camp circle and this provided us with some cover and protection from the rain. The best thing about the tarp, however, was that it generated a fantastic source of water! Water which we caught in bowls, saucepans and pots to then use in our play; we made water-shoots, mud cakes, mud paint (which we used to paint the trees) and even a water cannon. Some of us finished off our apple bird feeders from last week and others helped sweep up leaves into a huge pile that we ran into.
The children were amazing this week and as well as demonstrating joy and creativity in the rain, they also showed impressive resilience; smiles and lots of fun regardless of the weather. It just goes to show that children often don't notice the weather!
