Penguins - Fashion Designers and Pancake Makers

Penguins have had a busy start to the new half-term this week as they enjoyed exploring two new areas within our learning environment.

Firstly, we have set up a costume design area, Here the children are able to design, create and model their very own creations. Many thanks to all those who donated their old clothes.  As you can see they are being put to good use and, as the pens are washable, a quick wash and they are ready for a redesign! 

The second new area is a self-service play-dough station.  The children are able to follow a simple recipe and make their own play dough.  To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, the station has a pancake theme and the children are enjoying making pancake-like play-dough - we even had races during our PE session!  Again, many thanks to those who have donated flour and salt in support of our learning.
