Owls Trip to Milestones Museum

Owls were fortunate enough to visit Milestones Museum last week to support our history topic, 'Toys from the Past'.  The children got to experience how it would have felt living in Victorian times as they walked through the cobbled streets with shops, vintage transport and a seaside pier to explore.

Within the Victorian streets and shops, the children took part in various practical workshops led by a member staff dressed in Victorian clothes.  They were able to learn, compare, explore and handle toys from the past through different activities, and took part in playing traditional outdoor and indoor games from long ago. 

It's safe to say we were all exhausted by the end of the day, but what a wonderful day where the children were really able to immerse themselves in history!
