Whole School Ramble for Children in Need

Authors: Marco and Kaydalin (Head of School pupils)

On Friday 15th November, the whole school went on our yearly ramble to raise money and awareness for Children In Need.  Everybody walked in class order with the Year 6’s supporting the Penguins at the front of the march.  We stopped half way through our journey to play a fun game of ‘Hide and Seek’.  After that, the school happily walked to the Moat and lined up to get some yummy bakes. (Thank you everybody who donated these).  When we finished our delicious treats, the Year R class went back to school, while the rest of the years strolled across the Boardwalk.  At the end of the boardwalk, the classes trudged into the forest and played a competition of ‘who could stack the highest pine cone tower’.  Later everyone ambled back to school and had lunch.

Thank you for everyone who helped with the ramble and to everyone who donated money.  We raised £262 in total which is an amazing amount.  All of the children loved it!   Here are some things they liked about it.

‘I liked walking with the buddies and eating the cakes with them.’ Jake Year 6

‘I liked the house competition.’ Ollie R Year 6

‘I liked walking on the boardwalk’ Toby Year 2

‘I liked the whole walk’ Eddie Year 4

‘I liked being with my friends and skipping lessons’ Frankie year 4
