This week at Forest School

It rained all day but it certainly didn't dampen Robins' enthusiasm for being outside.

We talked about our favourite foods and where in the world they might grow and come from. It was interesting to notice how many things come from abroad.

Using chalk, we drew pictures of the food we like best on the playground and watched what happened when it rained. It reminded us how important water is to make food grow.

Creativity also flowed in the Forest School area; a range of meals was rustled up in the kitchen, including a menu devoted to The Beatles, David Bowie and Genesis. Spades, mud and grass were used to make a wonderful face. Fairy houses and obstacle courses were constructed and shops opened for business.

There was also time to observe the nature around us and the seasonal changes the weather is bringing.
