St James Primary Raise The Flag

Members of our school family were invited last month to take part in the ceremonial raising of the Union flag on the village green.  This was to mark the accession to the throne of the United Kingdom by HM King Charles 111 at the end of the period of mourning for the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth 11.  A number of staff members (including Marlowe), children and parents attended the event after school as members of Year 6 raised the flag. Thank you to photographer Richard Awberry who took the photographs, copies of which will be kept in school to form part of the School Archive.
