St James Marathon 2019
In order to mark the London Marathon this weekend, St James held our own marathon event. In the morning, Early Years and Key Stage 1 took to our running track completing a minimum of 2 laps of the track, meaning Early Years and Key Stage 1 have completed over a marathon (26 miles) between them. This afternoon, Key Stage 2 completed their 6 laps of the track, meaning each class has completed the equivalent of a marathon!
We also held our very own 'Elite Race' with runners from across the school. Our overall winner was Sam Portman-Parsons in Year 6. The staff set their own personal challenge to complete a marathon between them and throughout the day clocked up 29 miles!
The event was a huge success and a lot of personal challenges were completed. Well done to everyone who took part.
