Red Nose Day 2021

On Friday 19th March, St James Primary came together to raise money for Comic Relief.  We marked the day by accessorising our school uniforms with an array of hats, jackets, badges and belts.  Some staff even wore their own school uniform.  It was lovely to be able to celebrate the day with a whole school picnic outside, sat safely in our bubbles. 

Throughout the day, each child had the opportunity to enter the 'Design Your Own Red Nose' competition - House Captains are currently judging and will announce the winners at the end of the week.  We then ended the day with a socially-distanced danceathon - dancing to 'Shake It Off' by Taylor Swift and 'Cha Cha Slide' by DJ Casper, all led by our Year 6 Sport Crew.  It was fabulous to see the whole school come together after our time apart.

A huge thank you to the Year 6 Leadership Team for coming up with the ideas, Michelle and the kitchen staff for delivering a delicious picnic lunch and also for any families that donated on behalf of St James Primary.
