Last week at Forest School for the Robins

We celebrated this term's last Forest School session with a different game and new skills. Playing Tree Tag on the field warmed us all up (especially Mrs Greggs!) and helped us to learn the names and location of two trees on the school field - Oak and Ash.

Working in small groups we learnt how to whittle a stick safely and then used it to toast a marshmallow around our Forest School fire-bowl. Before the fire was lit we also talked about fire safety and learnt how to behave close to the fire. 

It was wonderful to see the children's confidence blossom as they developed their new found skills and shared their knowledge with each other and the teachers.
