HAPPY EASTER!

Dear Parents

As we enter the last couple of days of the spring term, it feels very strange to think that Easter is just a week away.  We hope you are all keeping well and we've really enjoyed seeing some of the work the children have been doing through DB Primary.  Please remember to log on to see what work has been set for your child if you haven't done so already, or check the class boxes in the front entrance at school.

Over the holidays the teachers won't be setting any new work, although we will still running our emergency childcare as needed.  Also, keep a look out for a special 'virtual' Easter visitor!

So, on behalf of all the staff at St James we wish you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful Easter.

Valerie Elliott

School Notices

Over the holidays no new work will be set and teachers will not be regularly monitoring DB Primary or class email addresses, however the resources are still there if you would like to access.

We will contact you on Thursday 16th April via an E-News to share the plan going forward in the likely event that we remain closed.

Message from The Reverend Hannah Moore, St James Church

Dear All,

It is sad that the children have not been able to visit the church this year to share in the Easter story.  I have attached a colouring sheet that the children may wish to complete and display in the window to share the Easter story around the village.  Please click on the picture below to download and print the image.

I would like to pass on my thoughts and prayers to all of you within the St James Primary community during these strange, and sometimes frightening times.  If any of you feel in need of support or would like to get in touch with me, please do not hesitate to email at rector@stjameschurchelstead.org

I would like to wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter.

Reverend Hannah

Request for help

We have a few families that do not have access to a laptop, computer or tablet at home and therefore cannot access the fantastic DB Primary resources that the teachers are sharing. We are looking into the idea of asking for donations from anyone that has a usable old device sitting gathering dust. However, we do not have any on site IT technician support currently so before making this request we are first asking if any parent could volunteer to be involved in checking over devices, resetting them so they are ready to use. We would receive and issue them. Please email bursar@st-james-elstead.surrey.sch.uk if you are able to help.
