Bake Off 2022 - the heats

Mr Gardner and Mrs Bradbury had an amazing break time on Monday, tasting all of the bakes that were brought in for the heats of the St James Bake Off 2022.

It was almost two years ago that the 2020 Bake Off was cancelled due to the pandemic, so to be able to reinstate a favourite inter-house competition was lovely.

This year, the theme was "What would your favourite book character like to eat?"

By the end of break time, Mr Gardner and Mrs Bradbury were feeling that they'd had a little too much sugar, but our finalists were selected!

At the cake sale after school, we made an amazing £204.55 which we will put towards new books for our library, which is currently undergoing a makeover. 

Thank you to everyone who baked and / or bought a cake. We will have another sale on the last day of term where we'll sell off our Staff Bakes.
