Ahoy Captains!

We have new House Captains!  Hurrah!

Usually we interview Year 5 in the summer term so that our captains are appointed before the summer holidays.  Unfortunately our plans were scuppered for obvious reasons, so we asked the children to fill in application forms on their last day of Year 5 instead,

Over the summer we perused their applications before interviewing all applicants on Tuesday.  Mrs Elliott and Mr Gardner asked some probing questions about leadership, how their houses can promote an aspect of safe, respectful, responsible, ready and some questions about their application too. 

After a LOT of deliberation we have appointed the following House Captains and Head Pupils.

We'd like to thank every child that applied.  Putting themselves through a formal interview process was nerve wracking, but they all survived.  We may not be able to appoint everyone as House Captains but all children who went through the process will be appointed a leadership role.  We require Maths Leaders, Digital Leaders, Wellbeing Leaders, New Arrivals Ambassadors and many more.  Stay tuned for news on that!
