Top Trumping Digital Literacy

The Belarusian national anthem was being played loud and proud in Woodpeckers this afternoon. Both Woodpeckers and Kestrels have started to create some class Top Trumps, based on countries and cities... and one child had discovered that Wikipedia features the national anthem of each country!

Over the last few weeks, both classes have been investigating what a Digital Footprint is and using office applications to make posters explaining. To deepen their knowledge we've moved on to making Top Trumps. Not only do we practise our Publisher skills but we also get to practise making a safe internet search. 

We talked about how reliable Wikipedia is; Kestrels revised what they had learnt about Wikis at the end of year 4.
