Penguins visit to Brooklands

It's been a very busy week in Penguins as we went on our second trip of the year to Brooklands Museum of Transport to complement our 'On the Move' topic.

We started the day within the Aircraft Factory where we had to clock into work before we learnt how different parts of the plane are built.

.

Here we are sanding wood to make it smooth for a propeller.

We then visited the London Bus Museum and saw how buses have changed over time.  We hadn't realised that horses used to power a bus.

By now we were very ready for lunch and a rest.  It's hungry work being on a trip.

In the afternoon we went to have a look at Concorde - Pip was most impressed with the size of its wheels.  Then on to the racing cars where we spent time drawing and writing about our favourite models.

Finally we were ready to get back to Penguins - as you can see some of us had a much needed rest!

Thank you to Ellie and Stella for joining us today - we hope you had fun!
