Penguins Celebrate Diwali

On Thursday, Penguins celebrated the Hindu festival of Diwali.  We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and learned about the Goddess of Wealth, Lakshmi.  To celebrate, we listened and danced to traditional Indian music, created our own Rangoli patterns and made our own clay lamp holders which we can take home and light.  The highlight for everyone was when we shared a special snack time as the children shared poppadoms with a penguin made dip - it was delicious!
