Once upon a time Penguins visited Painshill Park

Penguins went on their first school trip this week to the lovely Painshill Park for a fairy tale walk, skip and run around the grounds.  Our storyteller, Adam, with the help of some props and lots of imagination, retold lots of traditional tales as we made our way around.

Here we are running through a meadow looking for Little Red Riding Hood's Grandma:

Then we pretended to be the 3 little pigs and built a new home for baby bear, whose house was destroyed by too much porridge!

Next, we found Sleeping Beauty's castle where we had to be very noisy (!)  to wake her up.

Lastly, we found Granny by the old well.  However, it was really the wolf who then chased us into a game of hide and seek.

After all that adventure we were very ready for our lunch and then a quick play at the forest school base before heading home again.  Well done Penguins, Mrs B and team were very proud of how well you all behaved on your first trip.

Thank you also to Anna, Emma and Sue for joining us - we hope you had fun.

And we all lived happily ever after.
