Kingfishers at Forest School

This week at Forest School we started with games, including giant Rock, Paper, Scissors, to warm ourselves up. Before getting to the Forest School site, we spotted deer in the field behind school and pretended to be Stone Age hunters. We made an excellent job of stealth walking and being really quiet and as a result got to see them much closer up.

After an exciting start to the session, we let our creativity flow; digging for water, building a toy shop, designing traps for catching our dinner, making a secret hideaway (complete with password). Chalk carving, 'cheerio' bird feeders and leaf rubbing were also activities we enjoyed on a beautiful but cold day.
