Kestrels Visit Shah Jahan Mosque and Godalming Museum

Last week, Kestrels Class spent the morning at Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking learning about Islam, identified the key features of a mosque and learnt why mosques are so important in the Islamic faith.

Then, in the afternoon, they visited Godalming museum to learn about Jack Phillips of Farncombe who worked on board the Titanic as a communications officer. They learnt about Morse code and how Jack used it to communicate that the Titanic was in trouble.

Kestrels will be using their new learning to inform their writing, so watch this space for some exciting new projects!
