St James E-News

4th March 2022

Welcome to the St James Primary School's E-News, a weekly roundup of the latest goings on at the school.

Latest Headteachers Blog

Dear Parents,

We have been talking about the situation in Ukraine with the children this week, we lit a candle and prayed for peace. We continue to think about what we can do to support the families affected by the war.  One thing we can do is contribute to one of the aid appeals that have been set up.  Donations to the appeal by the UK Disasters Emergency Committee are being matched by the UK Government up to £20 million.

On a much lighter note, thank you for all the efforts made for World Book Day today.  There was a buzz of excitement through the school as pupils (and staff) showed off their book character costumes, swapped books and enjoyed refreshments provided by the PTA after school.

Best wishes for a lovely weekend,

Valerie Elliott
