18th June 2020

Welcome to the St James Primary School's E-News, a weekly roundup of the latest goings on at the school.

Dear Parents,

It has been lovely to finally welcome back our Y1 children and we have been amazed at how quickly all of our youngest children have adapted to the changes we have had to make in school. It just proves that children can be very resilient.

Today we are sending home details of the arrangements for classes next year and our transition programme at the end of term. We have spent a number of weeks planning these changes, keeping in mind how best to support all our children as they return to school, so that we can quickly start to address gaps in their learning. We are also planning other initiatives to boost the children's learning which we will share with you later on.

We are making plans for September whilst remaining fully aware that government guidance may change and impact on these. Our hope and aim is to be able to welcome all the children back in September and we will keep you informed once we know more.

Best wishes,

Valerie Elliott
