Dear Parents,

It is with sadness that I have to announce that Mrs Rose Ketcher will be leaving us at the end of next week after over 10 years of working at St James. We wish her well for the future!

Next Tuesday is Safer Internet Day and we have already been talking to the older children about how they use the internet and keep safe. We would really encourage all parents to agree some basic rules with their children when going online;

agree how long your child can be online each time
agree that your child must ask you permission before downloading apps and games
talk/monitor the things your child does online and be aware of the age limits for common apps (WhatsApp minimum age is now 16yrs)
ensure you have rules about when to stop using devices before bedtime

At the next parent consultation we will be sharing materials and information about how to keep your child safe online.
